DevFruit ("we", "our", or "us") provides business automation and AI workflow services from Des Moines, Iowa. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you visit devfruit.net, contact us, or use services we build and operate.

By using our site or services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Contact information: name, email address, and any details you include in messages sent through our contact form or via email.
  • Mobile phone number: only if you affirmatively opt in to SMS/text communications related to a project, event, or service we provide.
  • Project information: details about your business, requirements, and any files or data you share for the purpose of a project.

We also collect limited technical information automatically — including IP address and basic request metadata — used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and security.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide the services you request.
  • Communicate with you about projects, scheduling, billing, and support.
  • Send transactional SMS/text messages where you have opted in (see SMS / Text Messaging below).
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our site and services.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

SMS / Text Messaging

If you opt in to receive SMS messages from DevFruit or a DevFruit-built service (for example, as a vendor or staff member of an event using our platform), the following terms apply:

  • Opt-in: You will only receive SMS messages after you provide your mobile number and affirmatively agree to receive them — typically through a registration or sign-up form that clearly discloses the SMS program.
  • Message frequency: Frequency varies by use case. For event vendor communications, expect approximately 3–5 messages per event (registration confirmation, day-of arrival reminder, check-in confirmation, check-out confirmation, and occasional event updates). For event staff communications, frequency depends on the event and your role and is typically limited to coordination escalations.
  • Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Opt-out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation message, after which no further messages will be sent.
  • Help: Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at hello@devfruit.net.
  • Carriers: Messages are delivered via major US mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information to any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used solely to deliver the messages you have opted in to receive, and is shared only with our SMS infrastructure provider (Twilio) strictly for the purpose of message delivery.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Trusted vendors that help us operate our services (e.g., Microsoft for email delivery, Twilio for SMS, Stripe for payments, Google Cloud for file storage), strictly bound to use the information only to provide their services.
  • Legal compliance: When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • With your consent: When you direct us to share information.

Cookies & Analytics

devfruit.net does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We may use minimal first-party storage strictly for site functionality. We do not currently run third-party analytics that build user profiles.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information — including TLS encryption in transit, restricted-access infrastructure, and secret management practices. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting hello@devfruit.net. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
